How Shipping and Delivery Works

Shipping your goat to a new location may initially seem cruel and embarrassing, but in reality, we believe it is more challenging for us than it is for the goat(s). With our extensive experience in delivering goats to our clients, we can assure you that all the goats are well taken care of during the shipping process. It’s important to understand that airlines have a vested interest in treating the animals properly to avoid legal issues and customer dissatisfaction.

The average flight duration for shipping a goat is approximately 4 to 6 hours. We always inquire about any potential delays or layovers and have precise information about flight times and departures. This allows us to track the goat’s location during the journey and provide you with regular updates.

Rest assured, the goat will arrive at its destination on the same day it is sent, usually within a few hours.

We offer shipping as an option because sometimes suitable homes for our goats are located beyond a reasonable driving distance. We understand that you may have concerns about flying a goat, but we wouldn’t consider it if it weren’t safe. When we book a flight for a goat, we only choose airlines that have pet-safe programs in place and follow USDA guidelines.

During the flight, the goat will be in the same air quality as the pilot flying the plane, and there will be someone to care for them on board. It’s important to note that the goats are not shipped in the cargo section of the plane, but rather in the passenger section along with pet nannies until the delivery is completed.

When booking flights for our pets, we always prioritize finding the most direct route available, similar to how you would search for a flight for yourself. Our goats have always arrived safely at their new homes. In fact, the shipping company assured us that flying a goat on a 2-6 hour flight is often more comfortable than driving with the goat for 4 hours or more.
